i still wana gamble; be it rami, blackjack or mj! tsk. cos last nite's luck wasnt that bad after a hilarious car spin with my cousins. cos liling wanted to go batok mrt, so the few of us piled into melvin's car and sent her there, but i led them the longggg way back and the wongs were arguing abt SLRs yet again, among other stuff we were talking abt in the car. lol. anw, cousins' outing for both dad n mom's side shld be pretty fun, but only if it materialise. pff.

anw 3days2nights at pontian was alrights.. but pretty degenerating on the brain. jus had kids running around the whole day, and nights filled with rami/blackjacks. but the fireworks on chu xi night was awesome man. shall wait for flo's pics. haha. oh, and the lame jokes by jieliang during reunion dinner was lol too. :D

and this yr's cny is so zzz; chu 3 alrdy is normal working day. SIM skive; no lessons for everyone today. but poor army boys (except yb) needa book in last nite. tsktsk. how sad. it shall by my bro's turn nxt yr. aw.

my first post in the new year would be just before the new yr in the lunar calendar =.= anw, g love cny cos practically everyone's in the celebratory mood. unlike xmas where only the christians or the young ppl are celebrating. ahaaa.

had a fun time having 团圆饭 with the clique! :DD
food was much served much faster, more together, and the 8 of us are all more 'filled' stomach-wise. haha. the walk in chinatown was hot, squeezy, not so much atmosphere cos there were no cny songs blasting in our ears. althou my first time there, but my impression of that place nearing cny isnt like this man.

but anw! we still had fun. haha. the guys were mimicking all the salespersons lelong-methods. wad mua chee 试吃，and 一块一块来我跟你为什么是一块。like lol pfff. and we all got a 冰棒 to get into the mood. ahhaha. i wanted my 'orleng' one, but not frozen enough and got a pink cherry one tsk. took wonderbus baq and so qiao saw gf n xiaoming, spotted by fion's 千里眼. haha.

before chinatown was in town watching the wedding game. alrights la. some scenes are quite sick. and its pretty typical. oh well.

the 2/4 gang has been meeting more than the only usual yearly meet-up during cny. with meetups for seb's bday, xmas and those random outings to westcoastplaza & singing. yay. funny that no matter how many years we've been apart, leading our own lives, talking&laughing about the memories/craps of the past always makes me happy. evening was buffet dinner with flo&family at garden hotel. food was alrightsss, didnt really eat much anyway. was busy keeping my dress looking proper & walking properly in high heels. &also wondering how the turnout would be for the post dinner program with the clique. but still had fun taking pictures at the lobby after dinner. just like old times. but during old times we were at jb's hyatt, this time at spore's garden hotel. sadded. haha.

after dinner program was at decoders cafe. the suprise came when fion called and say she xia dao. i tot wad ghost or rat she see on the way to decoders. in the end, is my dear clone is driving ! and he ask her wait for him at my hse here. lol. anw, he got lost at admiralty. cant say im surprised. :D ha! but ya, the fact that hes driving improved my mood by leaps and bounds. HA! but poor bro got lost at bukit timah and ended up near lavender. lucky he got it right in the end. but the games we played that nite was boring. prob cos too little ppl cant play noisy games oso. pfff. by 12plus, was really sleepy till the point of dazed.

woke dear gf up at 2plus and in the end left home at like 4plus. when ohl even asked us to go earlier so we can maybe win free bbq dinner on the mahjong table. LOL. in the end we both reached like 5plus la. pff. mahjong-ed a little and from the point seb say wana take photo and whipped out his dslr, my hands were on the cam till.. 12plus. ahahhaa.. and so 5+/6hrs of clicking = 400plus pics + a very sour right hand + ohl's mother asking yuanshu: "gladys taking photography issit?" hahahha. in the end i didnt even eat much. but drank quite alot = a pretty groggy me at abt 11plus. slacked and watch little nyonya, crapped, took smore photos, laughed & took never-satisfactory photos with the drunk yuanshu (AHAHHA), took a walk outside with the farting bel n wc (PFFF!), patronised zijing's satay & beef shank bbq store (LOL!) &left ohl's place at 2plus. cos there was no fun after seb left w the slr. hahaaaa, no la. was pretty tired and sticky alrdy. :D

part-retards (with ckwl mia-ing), met up for HSM 3!

drove to commonweath, then to school, then to timah for lunch in the day
and kena nag cos i always brake late. tsk!!!

came home and tried to finish up my hrm 3page essay to no avail
soooon, twas time to head down to town to meet bel first.
and much to my delight, seb came over to fetch me..YAYness.
althou i only recognised the car only because i saw the shocked face of shannon in the passenger seat & the old car plate;
because seb's driving a different car AGAIN. ooohhh wellll...

walked and walked around with the guys in town for like a few hours before bel came over from tanglin..
saw chong ning xin (whom we've never seen since 2004), ken, audrey!!
all 3 were seen at zara. the scene was pretty funny. lol.
wanted to take pic with ning xin but zara cant take pics. )):

anw the bday boy soon decided to have seafood and decided on jumbo@dempsey.
& continued their gang's tradition of the bday boy treating dinner.
had a pretty satisfying meal while having army stories constantly buzzing in our ears.
but were damn entertained by woei ginn's good story-telling skills. damnnn animated. HAHAHAH.

the next few hours were spent swinging the swing at B&J's; swinging & eating merlionster.
& after much hesitation by bel&me, decided to request the live singer to sing a bday song for our bday boy.
and luckily he agreed even thou he had alrdy sang his last song while we were queuing for our merlionster.
so, imagine us walking up to the stage there with a merlionster in my hand, chocs were alrdy rolling down la. HAHHAA.

and he came out laughing behind us. lol.
lucky, i tot he went to the car or wad then wont get to hear the bday song.

compared to duno how many times i flipped new moon today. lol.
BUT i just realise that for the past weeks, all ive been looking foward to was the bash.

amazing.
i would never forget (and am re-reading) the part after cullen saved her at port angeles.
the confession game they had. that night when i was reading i cant help but just allowed myself to indulge in that memory & cant help but feel that twinge of longingness again. so much so i had to stop reading and look up from time to time.
but anw, the rest of the story just made me feel how great their love is.
like no other love could surpass. (but theirs is fictional of course, i didnt forget that)

and now, i cant wait to get my hands on new moon.
my expenditures of late is the only reason im not burying myself in that book now.

alrights, the owner is not dead. nor has she drowned in her own tears.
in fact shes feeling pretty fine.

SATURDAY (2308):
dad’s car got kissed by a cab while I was behind the wheel. Sianed. And first time I scolded what the f out loud in front of mom and dad. Happened at timah market after dinner, parked at the carpark infront of the market, so was jus squeezing my way through a pink van wich was parked at the bottom of the steps and the cab which was in front of the dumpster. So I was really paying attention to the pink van cos like really damn close, then before I knew it I tink someone shouted that the cab is reversing. And so, I did the only thing I could, jam brake. The cab too, but apparently too late. We were actually about to drive off cos we all thot he managed to stop in time since we felt and heard no impact. But dad saw the expressions of the passerbys nearby and decided to head down and have a check. And sianed, he signaled me to go back, I was like ?? so he ask me come out and stop the cab (!!!) and he drive. Was like huh? But still stepped out of the car anw. Then he think think and say nvm you drive I go stop him. And all this while the frigging cars at the back are like horning cos I was blocking the exit out into the main road. And so I WTF-ed and drove off to the esso. Ma de. And smart dad forgot to bring his phone along with him when he stepped out and so his irritating ringtone rang in the car when we called him. Smartness. And so, bro ran back to the market with his phone and LUCKILY managed to find him and he asked us to wait there, he coming over with the cabbie. And so, that mark beginning of our half hour wait in the car while they settled the matter. Althou its really not my fault, but it really would have been avoided if I arrived at the bottleneck 5secs later, or if we parked at the HDB carpark instead of the market’s but if dad drove, I’d wouldn’t really made a diff UNLESS he horned. LIKE HOWS HE BEEN URGING ME TO HORN RECENTLY, EVEN FOR THE SLIGHTEST TING!!! (since he say theres no fine or wad for horning and its free anw) TSK. but sometimes its like so rude and like just adding to the noise pollution wad. TSK. but at the end of the day, the dent is not even obvious!!! But I’d believe he will still go knock it out one, since he jus now alrdy mention not obvious, but feel bu shuang. Fineeeeeeeeee. But shall not have the impulse/compulsion to touch the car anytime soon.

esp the school days; the mad days rushing for projs, attending lectures, even printing lecture notes.
now, no more projs for me, lectures are just feelingless sessions of listening to the lecturer talk.
but then again, since projs ceased since jan this year..
MEANS WE HAVEN DONE PROJ FOR A FRIGGING HALF A YEAR.

a week on..

last week was unforgettable, truly experential.
i would never forget the fear as i sat in my uncle's car on the way in last wed.
the fear that i cant take what i was about to see.
there was an urge to msg you. but i didnt want you to feel burdened like how i was by another.

upon arrival, i almost couldnt recognise my 2nd home.
in a span of a few hours, tents were set up outside the house;
inside, walls were stripped bare of any photos and furnitures shifted / removed.
then came the moment i feared most; walking to the back of all the drapes and all.
held it all back, couldnt bring my gaze to his face and walked away.
over the next few days, i remember myself taking as many glances at him as possible.
folded ingots for the afternoon and sat uncle's car out.

& it was back in again on thu after lesson and collecting my specs.
was folding non-stop all day and night since the only cousins there were the young ones.
searched in vain of a suitable place to sleep while waiting for aunt to come back from the hotel room they've booked.
walked to the hotel at 3am and finally had some shuteye till 8plus.

friday was the day all the rituals were held; from 3-11+pm
cousins were in full strength and was divided into the china and jap gymnastics team (HA)
the 5 young ones almost drove me crazy during the prayers and all.
but then again, they probably didnt have a clue wad was going on.
by 12am, a bath was all everyone wanted. took queue numbers and headed to the hotel again.
this time, 5rooms were booked by us; and i bunked in w flo&family while the guys were in another room.
listened to aunt's recollection of his peaceful final moments and felt really comforted.
but still had trouble sleeping cos i realised im sleeping in front of a frigging mirror.
nevertheless, had a nice 6hours of sleep.

woke up to the alarm of fan&uncle's hp and headed back home to prepare for the moment i dread most. we really shouldve knocked on the guys' room door cos apparently they overslept. only manage to contact someone in that room after calling 3 handphones.
prayers and all was next and before long the shutting of the lid. vision blurred with tears before long. then came the moment to send him off. and it was then i understood why daughters' veil has an extra piece of cloth; to cover their red and swollen eyes. however, the moment was still relatively light as we all know in our hearts that he'd left peacefully and w/o pain. walked behind dad and uncles for like 1plus km before boarding one of the two buses booked.

i tink i never did understand the meaning of the word closure till that day. seeing it placed nicely at the bottom of it all, peace and comfort filled me. there isnt an urge to cry because i've long got over the stage of bu she de . tsk, but i dun understand why they dont let us see how they lower it.

headed back home for the last round of rituals and washed up. was seeing the young ones bullying the guys as they pile themselves on top of them. thought to myself that how nice it would be if all the cousins and families gather like this more often, but not for this kinda event. and it was lucky the laughter and screams of the young ones lightened up the overall atmosphere for the last few days, despite feeling irritated by it sometimes. headed back to singapore without my chendol and mee (TSKKKKKKKKK).

honestly, i haven got a single of recollection of him in my younger days. lucky flo still had memories of him feeding her porridge. the only memory i have of him when he was well was him sitting on his bike, with the hat on his head and heading out to buy breakfast (prata & nasi) for us whenever we stayed over. and picking veggie / fruits he'd grown in the patch infront of the house with his hat on his shiny bald head. the rest of the memories are of those days grandma and him stayed over at our house. and how sweet he'd always smile when a young cousin greeted him, but never when taking photos.

err, graduation is just.. graduation loh.

someone's post-nepal trip tempted me to blog.

the only funs (no such word) i had today was:
- discussing with the class wad to do with the ching ching ching chingss we have.

- discussing with jchm wad to do after end of feb.
as in studies duh, wad else can be on my mind these days. tsk.
man, this time i really envy her. straight to wheelock.
althou that means staying in np another 2 more yrs. but who mind taking 184/75 for 2 more years as long as its not to sim? (no offense)

finally done with econs assignment.
too hell with it, caused me so much stress.
so much so i questioned why did i take up tis freaking extra module.
on top of SAT smore.
its like you noe you ought to get started, but somehow its so @)#(@_)%# that you jus couldnt.
and in the end, started on fri nite and finished jus now.

HAPPY NEW YEAR PPL !!

yee came over at abt err 7.
painted nails as planned. lols.
althou i was pretty much irritated cos i messed up quite a few.
and so,

was supposed to meet fion at 0730.
but was a lil late due to the nails.
and i spoilt one more when i bathe. TSK.
anw, met fion and headed to MOS for dinner;
i was the only one eating. -.- TSK. all eat at home..

waited for beng to arrive and headed to cold storage to grocery-shop for our supper cook-out.
LOL. bought spaghetti, mushroom sauce, yee's campbell soup
walked to beng's hse and started playing halo..

and soon, it was the last 10 mins of 2oo7.
set up my cam, mixed the drinks
the plan was to clank our glasses and GAN BEI at the stroke of midnight.
but a few mins b4 that was distracted by the sound of fireworks.

and after that.. muaha TWISTER!
played till was sweating like @#$%^

pk-ed with beng, zz and yee.
muaha. addictive man. if only the mat was secured and thers aircon!! lol.

i guess lookalike and me made good kitchen partners eh. lol.
with the help of yeeth and not much help from beng n zz.
althou we faced 'equipment shortage', it was quite fun i'd say.
